Hi, I'm Josh Wilding And I Am A Novelist!

You might be wondering what this website's about and who I am; My name is Joshua Wilding and I’m a writer, though to put a even finer point on it, I’m a poet trying to get his work recognised. I have been writing since October 2009 and since then I have written almost 250 poems about fantasy, emotions, life, the world and almost everything in between. I have also coined the term ‘Progressive Poetry’ though I’m not the first to use such a device while writing. Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’ and Brendan Kennelly’s ‘The Man Made of Rain’ are both superb examples of progressive, or story poetry, and I have written two books in this style: ‘Damnation’ and ‘The Incident’. My individual poems have been broadcast for passed three months on a website called deviantart.com, which I highly recommend you check out if you’re an up and coming writer or artist looking to make a name for themselves. I already have 56 people subscribed to my gallery… that’s almost like having fans! To add yet more strings to my bow, I am writing a fantasy novel at the moment and I delve into photography every now and then.

My first progressive poetry project is underway as of last month, and is an on going exploration into dreams and the subconscious. The project is titles ‘Dreamscape Dominion’ and will be written in seven parts, to represent each year the main character (a boy left in a coma after a car crash) is dreaming. Each year, the world changes and plays with his memories, inventing people for him to meet and places for him to explore. Everything from my love of videogames to the beautiful sunsets over the ocean all make some impact in these books and I am currently writing the second of the seven. Now if anyone knows of a way to get my poetry published without sending dozens (and I do mean dozens) of poems to magazines only to get no reply, do let me know. People are very complimentary and it really does make little difference if no one but them can read my work. Anyway…
